Citation CJ3 Shared Ownership

A legend - Now larger, faster and further on less, than ever before.

OVERVIEW

The iconic CitationJet formula meets next-generation capability with the efficient Citation CJ3.

Drawing on the 40-year history of CitationJets that have defined comfortable, efficient and reliable travel, the Citation CJ3 takes these strengths further than ever before. Designed with greater cabin space, enhanced aerodynamics, increased power and reduced fuel consumption over both past Citations and its competition, the CJ3 defines the light-jet category, solidifying its position as best-in-class. The editors of Robb Report seem to agree, naming it "Best of the Best Light Business Aircraft."

DESIGN

Engineered to perform, designed for comfort, built by legends.

A favorite of pilots and passengers alike, the Citation CJ3 combines the best of what both look for in a jet. It's seriously quick, taking you above bumps, weather and airline traffic for more efficient cruise and more direct routing. Inside, the passenger cabin has been lengthened considerably over other Citations, while up front, a class-leading ProLine 21 glass cockpit gives you up-to-the-minute information on systems, traffic and weather - increasing efficiency, safety and progress. The Citation CJ3 is an incredible value, focused on simplicity, economy and performance.

Citation CJ3 Modern Design Beautifully Crafted Convenient and Comfortable Efficient and Stylish

Exterior:

Cessna says their CJ3 is a show-stopper on the ramp. We tend to agree. Re-designed wings positioned well aft on its enlarged, low-slung cabin, along with large jet engines and a towering T-tail convey its high-altitude, high-speed prowess. Cessna designed the wing to take full advantage of the rarefied air at 45,000 feet, while maintaining the low-speed handling characteristics Citations are famous for, enhancing landing safety. The CJ3 features a range of further enhancements, such as trailing-link landing gear built to make every landing a soft one, and 75 cubic feet of baggage space with room for several sets of skis or golf bags.

In a first for the light-jet segment, Cessna introduced FADEC-controlled engines on the CJ3. This system enhances and automates engine control, enabling more precise power settings, more efficient power production and more accurate trend monitoring. FADECs effect on a jet engine can be likened to the effect Electronic Fuel Injection had on the automobile - its a dramatic step forward in economical jet power and found on only a select few light jets.

Interior:

Extending its cabin nearly four feet beyond the original CitationJet and two feet beyond even the CJ2+, the CJ3 offers ample room for six passengers in a large, modern cabin. With wing supports passing beneath the floor and a dropped center isle, walking space extends a full 4'9", while width remains a consistent 4'10" throughout. Fore in the 15'9" cabin is a large snack and beverage center with abundant catering space. Executive tables with AC power are at arms reach at each fully-adjustable executive chair , while a private lavatory and carry-on baggage area is found in the aft cabin. You will find trips in the CJ3 to be refreshingly comfortable, leaving you ready to take on the day.

PERFORMANCE

Utilizing an advanced laminar-flow wing and dual Williams jet engines producing over 5,500 pounds of thrust combined, the CJ3 is propelled to 45,000 feet at speeds up to 478 mph in under 30 minutes.

With that kind of power at hand, the CJ3 can operate from thousands of small airports and provide a quick climb high above weather and traffic, where the CJ3 settles into a stable cruise fuel burn of around 150 gph. It's remarkably efficient, making it a favorite among corporate operators with bottom-line thinking.

COSTS

It's simple...the numbers speak for themselves:

Ownership of an example 2008 Citation CJ3 with FLTSHARES starts around $434,000 for 1/16 share providing 25 annual flight hours.

Unique to FLTSHARES is our commitment to finding the right share size for your needs, not the other way around. Various levels are available up to whole ownership, with most owners falling somewhere between 1/8th and 1/2 ownership, providing 75 to 300 annual flight hours and limiting the number of total owners to between three and six per aircraft. To further enhance availability, we limit the number of sole 1/16th and 1/12th shares per aircraft.

cessna-citation-jet-shared-ownership-fltsharesThe financial case for shared ownership is an easy one to make.
Besides a dramatically lower acquisition cost, shared ownership utilizes the available 300 to 400 hours left unused by a typical whole owner each year, dispersing operating costs. Compare a whole owner's use to its FLTshares equivalent and the numbers, well, speak for themselves!

At 150hrs Per Year (All-In)
Acquisition Cost Savings $4,771,000
Operating Costs Savings /Yr $455,000

These example FLTshare costs are all-inclusive best-estimates, considering average market rates for a 2008 model aircraft and its associated operating costs at 600 hours per year, including average regional fuel prices as of 1/15/10 ($4.81/gal). It's clear that even at whole-ownership use levels, FLTshares ownership significantly reduces your costs while eliminating the hassles of aircraft ownership.

Shared ownership offers the convenience of owning your own aircraft, while benefiting from a hassle-free experience and impressive conservation of capital.
