DESIGNCarbon Fiber, Leather and Power. Perfection. It's truly a beautiful thing, but even more, the SR22 converges engineering brilliance, technological superiority and modern design into a safety-focused personal aircraft that has launched it above all others in sales.
Exterior: Built of carbon composite for immense strength and minimal weight, the SR22 stands out as a sleek, sophisticated performer in flight and on the ramp. This material also minimizes air drag in flight, aiding in the Cirrus's quick cruise speeds and high payload. Fixed landing gear also reduce weight and complexity by removing heavy hydraulic equipment. Up front, an advanced piston engine produces 310 horsepower for truly stunning performance. The shocker, however, is the whole-airplane parachute recovery system hidden behind the cargo area. With a pull of a handle, anyone can jettison the CAPS system, safely bringing the airplane to earth in case of a severe emergency or pilot incapacitation. Its safety found only on a Cirrus. Interior: Surprisingly roomy, even with four adults, the comfortable, leather upholstered seats are even to task enhancing safety. Tucked inside the robust seat-belt lies an airbag system, while energy absorbing seat structures combine to reduce crash injury. In fact, the entire cabin structure is a carbon fiber roll cage built to absorb energy and protect its occupants. None of this will be in thought, however, as you gaze through large passenger windows that put you right in the action as you quietly leap over traffic and terrain, guided by flight and navigation systems surpassing most airliners. Fair enough, but what about the vast improvements we've made in in the last three decades? Certified in 2000, the SR22 was built to preform from day one. With advanced "Glass Cockpit" avionics, full autopilot and automatic engine control systems, the SR22 surpasses the technology on many business jets, let alone other piston-singles. All this combines to enhance safety, capability and efficiency in a package found nowhere else.
ECONOMICSIt's simple...the numbers speak for themselves: While our SR22 GTS is sold out, ownership of a new and even more capable Cirrus SR22 turbo with FLTSHARES starts around $53,000 for 1/16th share providing 25 annual flight hours and surprisingly low operating costs. Unique to FLTshares is our commitment to finding the right share size for your needs, not the other way around. Various levels are available up to whole ownership, with most owners falling somewhere between 1/8th and 1/2 ownership, providing 75 to 300 annual flight hours and limiting the number of total owners to between three and six per aircraft. To further enhance availability, we limit the number of sole 1/16th and 1/12th shares per aircraft.
